Our Director, Christián Cuéllar, was born in México. He speaks Spanish and English. He attended the Law School at the University of The Américas in Puebla . He graduated with honors in the top 5% of his class in the Spring of 2005. He received his degree in law specialized in Taxation.

In 1994, he began teaching for the INEA, which is governed by the Mexican Department of Education. There, he instructed adults in Mathematics and Spanish. In 1998, he became an educator at the Spanish Institute of Puebla . He now has five years of experience teaching Spanish.

He has taught various courses at the Spanish Institute of Puebla including: Legal Spanish, Spanish Composition, Spanish Conversation, and Business Spanish.

He was hired as Director of the Spanish Institute of Mérida in August of 2005. His experience working and his effectiveness of instructing his students to fully comprehend the Spanish language both professionally and conversationally makes him an important asset to our institution....

Our Academic Advisor, Antonio Prado, was born in the United States in 1963. His parents are both from Spain. He speaks both Spanish and English as native languages. He lived 13 years in Latin America, especially Costa Rica. He attended both The University of Texas at Austin and the University of Oklahoma. He received his college degree from the University of Oklahoma.
In 1992 he began teaching Spanish at the University of Oklahoma and in 1995 became the Spanish Coordinator for the University of Oklahoma. He was in charge of curriculum for all the Beginning Spanish Courses and coordinated all the Spanish Instructors.

He has taught Beginning Spanish, Spanish Composition, Spanish Reading, Spanish Grammar, Spanish Conversation, Business Spanish, Street Spanish and many more courses at the University of Oklahoma and Oklahoma Community College.
He has participated in editing many of the beginning Spanish Books used in the United States and reformatted the University of Oklahoma Beginning Spanish program to make it one of the most sophisticated and demanding programs in the United States.

He was hired as Director of the Spanish Institute of Puebla in July of 1998. His experience in teaching Spanish as a Second Language and his understanding of both the American and Spanish culture make him a great asset for our Institute.
